About
As a Chinese immigrant raising a family in North America, I’ve watched how easily
language and tradition can slip away. The characters I learned from my parents and grandparents — the marks that hold our stories and history — began to fade from my daily life. That slow loss felt like losing a piece of home.
The feeling grew stronger when I became a parent. My two children couldn’t write their own Chinese names. I remember the quiet ache of that moment. Names aren’t just characters on a page — they are anchors to our family, our past, and who our children will become. I didn’t want that connection to vanish.
So I created Panda Writing.
Panda Writing is for families who want their children to reconnect with their cultural roots and take pride in the language they inherit. You’ll find simple, kid-friendly resources — dotted-line tracing sheets, clear stroke-order guides and progressive practice activities — designed to make learning joyful and meaningful. Whether your family speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, or you’re simply passing on Chinese heritage, these guides will help your children learn, practice, and remember where they come from.
Thank you for visiting. I hope Panda Writing becomes a small but steady part of your family’s cultural journey — a place where little hands learn the strokes that tell our stories.
